Fergie was one of the first to offer her congratulations after ex-husband Josh Duhamel announced on social media that he is engaged.

The Transformer actor, 49, has been dating model Audra Mari, 28, since 2019 following his divorce from former Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, 46.

Taking to Instagram, he announced the happy news that he and Audra are to wed with a photo of the couple posing by the beach.

Making it extra special, his proposal came on the former Miss World America title-holder’s 28th birthday.

“It’s on!! She found a message in a bottle that washed ashore and said YES!! @audramari,” he captioned the shot of the pair smiling, while holding up a handwritten letter that read: “Audra Diane Mari Will You Marry Me?”

Taking to the comments section, Fergalicious hit-maker Fergie, wrote: “Congrats!!!💚💚💚💚💚💚.”

Fergie filed to end their eight-year marriage in May 2019, nearly two years after she and Duhamel first announced their split.

They share eight-year-old son, Axl Jack.

Duhamel previously expressed his hope to have more children in future during a 2018 appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.

“I’m not 30 years old anymore. I’m 45. I want to have more kids in the next few years,” Duhamel said at the time. “So it’s more about finding someone young enough to have kids. It’s not as if I’m out there trying to just f**k anything. That’s not who I am. I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with.”
