Great Britain hockey set to return to the Twickenham Stoop in 2020

Great Britain Hockey have announced that the women will be returning to the Twickenham Stoop in what is set to be "bigger and better" 2020.

They have sealed a new-three year deal with Harlequins rugby to host a series of games during the FIH Pro League at their home ground.

Head coach Mark Hagar said: "Since I came to Great Britain earlier this year I’ve seen how the sport is growing and how popular our events have become.

"We are very lucky in this country to play at places like The Stoop and I’d encourage everyone in our sport to come out and get behind us on our journey to Tokyo."

Earlier this year it was the first time GB played at the Stoop with a new "pop-up" pitch, showcasing the evolving technology behind astro turfs.

The event saw a record breaking 11,500 spectators over the weekend, the highest attendance since the London 2012 Olympics.

The men and women will take part in a double header against Argentina in June 2020.
