Coleen Nolan’s son slams comedian for ‘disgusting’ joke about his two aunts suffering from cancer

Shane Nolan, son of Coleen Nolan and Shane Ritchie, has hit out at a comedian who made a joke about his two aunts’ cancer battles.

Both Linda and Anne Nolan are fighting cancer and appeared on the front of The Sun newspaper to speak about their battles. Comedian Mark Jones shared a photo of the front page and captioned it: "Right Said Fred looking well."

He was referring to the 1980’s band whose members had no hair.

Nolan slammed Jones, saying: "Imagine being one of those people who write horrible things online and think they’re funny and brave cos nobody can see or find them.

"Writing about someone’s who’s family is suffering with cancer, there really is some disgusting and vile people around. I don’t get it".

Jones then later apologised for the cruel joke as he wrote: "You're right. I apologise. I was totally out of order and will delete the tweet. I am very sorry for the offence caused by my stupid comment."

Nolan then drew a line under the incident and promoted the mental health hashtag #BeKind.

He wrote: "Guys @mistermarkjones has apologised now. Was a stupid tweet and he feels a d**k. Let’s leave it at that. Just hope other people can learn from that. #Bekind ".

This is not the first troll tweet Nolan has shared on his social media lately. He also commented on one post which accused the family of lying about the diagnosis.

He wrote: Look at the state of this. Wow. Lowlife scum. Absolute oxygen thief".
