Derren Brown set to return to Channel 4 for new live stunt this summer

Illusionist Derren Brown is returning to screens this summer with a new live stunt. 

The two-hour special called 20 Years of Mind Control: Live’ on Channel 4 will see Brown perform a new psychological trick on an audience member.

Following the broadcast, he will introduce the UK’s favourite Derren Brown special that will be voted upon by viewers. 

The public will be asked to choose from a shortlist of some of his most jaw-dropping tricks including Apocalypse, Russian Roulette, The Heist, Pushed to the Edge and Hero at 30,000 feet.

The 49 year-old said: "Twenty years! That was quick. And what a treat to be given this night by the broadcaster that have been so very supportive and nurturing over that time.

“I can't imagine two decades with anyone else. It's going to be a fun night.”

Channel 4’s Head of Entertainment Phil Harris added: “There are very few people within the entertainment industry capable of raising the exhilaration stakes in quite the way Derren does and with him at the helm, this very special celebration should be no different.”

Channel 4 have not yet announced the date of the programme.
