Pop singer Katy Perry has confirmed she will debut new music at the ICC Women's World Cup Final in Australia next month.

Perry, 35, will perform at the final on Sunday, March 8, which also coincides with International Women's Day.

Speaking to The Kyle and Jackie O Show, she said: "I've got some surprises coming.

"Australia has been one of the most supportive, incredible places in the world for me and my music.

"You guys have always been so receiving of my music and shown up, so, you know, if I bring a little extra something to Australia it's because you deserve it."

Perry announced that she will be performing in Melbourne last November.
