Everyone agrees 2020 has changed our lives in many ways, not least in what we wear.

For many guys who are now working from home instead of at the office, gone are the suits, shirts, ties and proper shoes they used to don on a daily basis.

Even if one’s workplace had a less formal dress code, nobody wants to put on jeans when they’re going to be sitting at the kitchen table/on the sofa/in the spare room all day.

Comfy clothes have been in high demand, with Google Trends data showing that searches for the term ‘loungewear’ spiked in April and have been on the rise again since the start of autumn.

With a variety of lockdown restrictions in place all over the UK, it looks like the loungewear boom isn’t going to slow down any time soon either.

But if you’ve been slobbing around in threadbare jumpers and PJs thus far, it’s time to up your game.

It’s easy to create a capsule comfy and stylish WFH wardrobe by investing in a few key pieces. For starters, a couple of pairs of joggers, whether straight leg or cuffed, are a must.

Add to that sporty hoodies or sweatshirts in block colours or with subtle prints – brash slogan tops are not suitable for Zoom catch-ups with your boss.

Choose subdued colours like grey, navy, khaki and burgundy so you can mix and match different pieces, or go for the cool co-ords look in a two-piece sweat set.

As for footwear, at home, all you really need are some snuggly slippers. But with sporty separates as cool as these, you can easily pull on a pair of trainers and throw on your coat if you need to pop out.
