Real Madrid and Spain international Sergio Ramos and his wife Pilar Rubio have announced the birth of their fourth child.

The baby is the couple’s fourth son and has been named Maximo Adriano.

Ramos shared the news on social media, saying: "Immensely happy to be able to introduce Máximo Adriano. He was born at 6:56 p.m. and weighed 3.270kg. Mom and baby are perfect.

“Always proud of you, my love. I love you to pieces!”

While Rubio posted a similar message but added: “Thanks for always being there for me, #SergioRamos. I love you!”

The pair married last year after being together for seven years and already share five year-old Sergio, four year-old Marco and two year-old Alejandro.

Rubio confirmed she was expecting again in January on the Spanish TV show in which she stars.

She also said in an interview before confirming her pregnancy this year: “If I got pregnant again, I wouldn’t mind if it was another boy.

"I know how they work. I think girls are more complex. But if it’s a girl, it would be great.”
