Adele shares photos of her watching 2016 headline Glastonbury performance from home

Adele has shared photos on social media of herself watching the incredible headline Glastonbury performance she did back in 2016.

The BBC are currently showing extensive coverage from some of the greatest shows ever at the iconic festival as this year’s 50th edition was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And Adele embraced being selected as one of the featured artists by posting images to Instagram showing her enjoying her own performance.

The global pop star took to the stage on the Saturday night four years ago and blew crowds away with her down-to-earth persona and sensational voice.

She was joined at Glastonbury that year by Friday headliners Muse and Sunday curtain-closers Coldplay.

Before this year’s festival was cancelled, the three confirmed headliners were rapper Kendrick Lamar, Beatles legend Paul McCartney and pop icon Taylor Swift.

It was recently confirmed that Adele’s follow-up to her 2015 album ‘25’ will not come out in September as planned because of the disruption the COVID-19 crisis has caused.

Her manager, Jonathan Dickens, told Music Week: "It (Adele’s fourth album) isn’t coming in September, it’ll be ready when it’s ready.

"We’re all in the same boat, you’re doing stuff and then all of a sudden, the world stops. It’ll come when it’s ready.

"I can’t put a date on that yet. We have music, but we’re still working."
