Arsenal sign Lotte Wubben-Moy

Women’s Super League club Arsenal have signed Lotte Wubben-Moy.

She has joined the Gunners from the University of North Carolina but spent her youth career at the north London club.

Wubben-Moy joined Arsenal’s Centre of Excellence in 2013 and went on to make her senior debut in 2015. She made 13 appearances before heading to the US in 2017.

The 21 year-old also received her first England call-up this month in the 30-strong squad preparing to take on Germany.

“I’m delighted to say that I’m officially a Gooner,” she said.

“To see that this club can play at the highest levels, achieving the things that they do while also playing such exquisite football, that is definitely something that’s drawn me to the club. I just can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Manager Joe Montemurro added: “I’m very happy we’ve got this one over the line. Lotte is obviously a player that when I first came in was about to leave for the US.

"All credit to the club for keeping tabs on her development whilst she was away, and then obviously securing a player that is in and around the England camp. She will be a top player.”

Arsenal opened their WSL campaign with a 6-1 win over Reading last weekend.

They will look to extend their winning start away to West Ham on Saturday.
