Bethany Firth picked up her second gold medal of the World Para-swimming Championships by breaking the world record in the 4x100m mixed relay.

Alongside Thomas Hamer, Jessica-Jane Applegate and Reece Dunn, the foursome made history with a time of three minutes and 42.21 seconds.

Russia initially finished second but were subsequently disqualified, allowing Australia to be promoted to silver and Brazil to bronze.

The Russian's removal from the final result means GB boasted a 9.39 second margin of victory over the runners-up Australia.

It caps off a successful few days for Firth, who's first gold medal came on Tuesday in the 100m backstroke.

The victories are the latest in a long line of achievements for the 23-year-old, who will be looking to add to her tally of four Paralympic gold medals at the Games in Tokyo next year.
