Bristol City take out contract extension on defender Flo Allen

Women’s Super League side Bristol City have opted to trigger an extension in Flo Allen’s contract which will keep the defender at the club until 2021.

Allen progressed through the club’s academy to debut for the first team after originally signing for City in 2018. She has also played for England’s youth teams.

The 20 year-old said: “I’m delighted my stay at Bristol City has been extended. The club gave me my first professional contract back in 2018 and have been great in supporting me to develop both as a footballer and as a person, whilst I have been undertaking a university degree.

“I’m very thankful for the continual support both on and off the pitch and I’m excited to get back and kick on this season.”

Manager Tanya Oxtoby said: "Flo is another one of our young English players that has come through the academy pathway and progressed into the first team to compete in the Barclays FAWSL.

"I’m looking forward to working with Flo in the coming season to continue her development both on and off the field, and to try and help fulfil her potential."
