Celebrity chef Rachael Ray is ‘safe’ after her New York home burst into flames. 

The 51 year-old managed to escape with her husband John Cusimano and dog Bella.

"Everyone was able to get out safely," Brian LaFleure, director of emergency services and fire coordinator for the county, told CNN.

He added: "There were no injuries, which was good.

"Right now, we're in the process of determining what the cause may be. It's nothing suspicious, but we're looking to determine what the cause was."

In total 12 fire departments were at the scene before they managed to get it under control and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Ray is best known for her daytime talk show ‘The Rachael Ray Show’ which she has been filming in her home during the coronavirus pandemic. 

Her show has been running for 14 seasons and has won two Daytime Emmys.
