Chicago Sky forward Jantel Lavender will miss out on the 2020 WNBA season after she underwent foot surgery. 

The 31 year-old had an operation on the fifth metatarsal in her left foot in Los Angeles.

The team announced she will make a full recovery and will undergo rehabilitation under the supervision of doctors and therapists.

Lavender joined Sky last year and started 22 games for the side, but will now miss out on the upcoming season and will not travel with the team to Florida’s IMG Academy next month.
