USA cancel huge sporting events

NASCAR have postponed races until May.

Movie star Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson have been released from coronavirus treatment and are no self-isolating in their rented home in Queensland.

Hanks revealed the couple had tested positive on Instagram last week.

Tube services to run Saturday services

Food banks in the UK say they are experiencing shortages in basic items such as toilet rolls and pasta because shoppers are panic buying and stockpiling in fear.

One food bank in Islington, North London, announced it has closed because of dwindling food supplies.

Trump not planning to postpone Presidential election

President Trump has claimed calls for postponement of the Presidential election are "unnecessary"

Ohio, Illinois, Florida and Arizona are scheduled to host primaries for the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday Match 17.

"Postponing elections is not a very good thing," Mr Trump said. "I think postponing is unnecessary."

Ohio’s Republican governor Mike DeWine says he will file a lawsuit to postpone the election in Ohio until June 2.

The Ambassador Theatre Group UK suspends shows at all its venues with immediate effect - this includes the Edinburgh Playhouse, the Savoy Theatre in London, the Manchester Opera House and the Theatre Royal Brighton.

Grand National cancelled

The 2020 Grand National race will not be taking place on April 4.

Aintree Racecourse made the announcement this evening following the Prime Minister's announcement suggesting a ban on social gatherings.
