Wales v Scotland to go ahead

Wales' Six Nations match against Scotland will go ahead with open doors.

The Wales Rugby Union has said they have consulted their medical officers and are happy for the fixture to go ahead.

Vitality Netball Superleague round four to still be played

The Vitality Netball Superleague's round four matches are set to be played this weekend despite the coronavirus outbreak. 

In a statement they said: "The government advised that all sporting events should take place as normal for now.

"We are therefore continuing to follow the national guidance and currently have no plans to cancel, postpone or otherwise change upcoming fixtures."

Everton go into self-isolation

Everton's men's side have gone into self-isolation.

The club released a statement as a precautionary measure after a first-team player displayed symptoms of the virus.

Both players and coaches will self-isolate.

Pro 14 and all rugby in France suspended

Europe's top rugby league, the Pro 14, has been suspended until further notice.

The league started on September 27 but it is now not known if it will finish its season.

Following the league's suspension, it was announced that all rugby in France has been called off.

Mikel Arteta and Callum Hudson-Odoi test positive

It was revealed last night that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi have both tested positive for coronavirus.

This has subsequently led to the Premier League's emergency meeting.

Several Leicester City players have also gone into self-isolation after showing symptoms of the COVID-19, along with Manchester City's Benjamin Mendy.

Premier League to hold emergency meeting

The Premier League announced at around 22:30 GMT last night that they will hold 'an emergency club meeting' on Friday to discuss future fixtures.

It is not yet known what action will be taken, but we will be sure to bring it to you right here as soon as we know.

LPGA suspend play

The LPGA have postponed the next three tournaments of the season including the first major of the year, the ANA Inspiration.

"This is a difficult situation," said LPGA commissioner Mike Whan.

"As we navigate these uncertain times, we appreciate the support of all those involved with the LPGA.

"I am fully committed to rescheduling these important events on our 2020 schedule, especially our first major, the ANA Inspiration.

"Our thoughts are with all of those around the world affected by this virus. And on a personal level, it pains me to see the impact of this health crisis on our athletes, our sponsors and our fans. That said, I know keeping our LPGA family safe, and all those who follow us safe, has to be my top priority."

PGA bans spectators from Players Championships

Golf's governing body PGA have said they are banning spectators from the Players Championships due to the virus.

Following a conversation with US President Donald Trump, the PGA president agreed the tournament would go ahead but with no fans present.

The tournament is beginning on Friday.

Miami Open suspended

Tennis tournament the Miami Open has been suspended due to the virus.

The Open was due to take place on March 23.

Canadian Bianca Andreescu was targeting the event to make her return to the sport following a knee injury. 

US men's and women's friendlies cancelled

Both the US' men's and women's football friendlies have been cancelled.

The men were due to play both The Netherlands and Wales away at the end of the month.

While the women were supposed to play both Brazil and Australia at home next month.

There are no plans to rearrange the men's fixtures but US Soccer have said they will attempt to reschedule the women's.
