Courtney Love says she hopes Jeffrey Epstein ‘burns in hell’ after her name is found in the sex offender’s address book

Courtney Love has said she hopes Jeffrey Epstein ‘burns in hell’ after it was revealed she was in his address book.

Epstein died in a New York jail in August last year as he awaited trial on charges of trafficking of underage girls and sexual assault.

And while Love accepts her name was in his contacts book, she denies having ever met the disgraced sex offender.

She said: "Hey. About my name in Epstein’s address book , it’s creepy as f*** that I’m in that thing I agree.

"I didn’t know him , never met him , didn’t know who he was. Apparently he collected celebrity phone numbers. The end . Hope he burns in Avīci hell."

Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested earlier this month accused of helping him to ‘identify, befriend and groom’ multiple girls, including one as young as 14.

Audrey Strauss, acting US attorney for the southern district of New York, said: "Maxwell was among Epstein’s closest associates and helped him exploit girls who were as young as 14 years-old.

"Maxwell played a critical role in helping Epstein to identify, befriend and groom minor victims for abuse."

Strauss also said authorities would ‘welcome’ a statement from Prince Andrew in relation to the investigation.

Andrew was a long-time friend of Epstein’s but insists he had no knowledge of his sexual misconduct.
