British naturalist David Attenborough is set to collaborate with rapper Dave in a one-off ‘Planet Earth’ special.

Attenborough, 94, will narrate the programme that is set to feature eight of the most memorable moments from ‘Planet Earth II’ and ‘Blue Planet II.’

The soundtrack will include Mercury Prize-winner Dave, 22, who will perform on the piano with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

‘Planet Earth: A Celebration’ will be released this summer with the aim to help lift spirits at ‘a time of international uncertainty,’ and will show animals 'surviving and thriving in some of the world’s most challenging environments – offering a message of hope to humanity.'

Film composer Hans Zimmer has also added some new compositions to the original score. 

Dave, whose real name is David Omoregie, said: “I’ve always been a fan of powerful natural history documentaries. 

"This is a programme where nature and music come together, so it was only right that I lent my talent, my time, and my attention to this project. It was a pleasure to work alongside Sir David Attenborough and Hans Zimmer.”

The programme is scheduled to air on the BBC at the end of August.
