Everton captain Danielle Turner re-signs for club in a two-year deal

Everton captain Danielle Turner has penned a new two-year deal.

Having risen through the Toffees’ academy, Turner has gained over 100 caps for the club.

She wrote on Twitter: “Nowhere I’d rather be...two more years as a Toffee. Thankful to be able to continue at this special club!”

She has been captain for three seasons after the honour was given to her prior to the 2017/18 season.

And she made history this season as she became the first person to score at Everton’s new home ground Walton Hall Park stadium.

Everton finished sixth in the Women’s Super League this season after the Football Assocation calculated the final placings following the league’s cancellation due to the coronavirus.
