Everything you need to know about Reading vs Bristol City in the Women's Super League this weekend

This week we are previewing one Women's Super League game each day as part of Women's Football Weekend which kicks off this Sunday.

Yesterday, we looked at Chelsea vs Manchester United and next up we are previewing Reading vs Bristol City.

Reading vs Bristol City

Bristol City will be seeking their first win in the WSL this weekend as they take on Reading.

City have lost three of their five matches so far, only gaining points in their draws with Brighton and Liverpool.

Reading have had a slightly better start to the season with two wins under their belt, though the hosts will be heading into this clash off the back of a 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

The last two times the sides have played each other in the league Reading have come out on top, including a 3-0 thumping 12 months ago.

Abi Harrison has been impressive for City this season, netting the opening goal in her side's match against Spurs that put Bristol temporarily ahead before they went on to lose 2-1.

The Scot recently transferred to the south west side from Hibernian and she is already impressing with her goal-scoring abilities.

Reading's Lisa-Marie Utland impressed against Everton and bagged her first goal of the season against Liverpool following her transfer in the summer.

The match is taking place at the Madejski Stadium, which has a capacity of more than 24,000.

They will be joining Spurs and Liverpool in hosting their WSL games in the club's main stadium on the Women's Football Weekend.

Reading vs Bristol City kicks off at 2pm and is available to watch on the FA Player app.
