Former Glee star Jane Lynch is set to be the new host of The Weakest Link in the US.

The popular British quiz show was aired on the BBC from 2000 to 2012 with host Anne Robinson, who also hosted the US version on NBC from 2001 to 2002.

Now the American broadcaster has ordered a reboot of the quiz show with at least 13 new episodes which will be filmed later this year.

They said it ‘will deliver the fast-paced and quick-witted pillars of the original British format created by the BBC with a few modern twists’.

The Weakest Link is likely to air on NBC next year.
