Iconic nude photo of Jennifer Aniston up for auction to raise funds for coronavirus testing in US

A nude photo of Friends star Jennifer Aniston is going up for auction in a bid to raise money for a charity that provides free coronavirus testing to healthcare workers in the USA.

The iconic black and white picture, which was captured in 1995 as the hit show was taking off, shows the actress looking fresh-faced complete with her choppy Rachel Green hairstyle that soon became the ’on-trend’ cut.

Taken by photographer Mark Seliger the intimate image of the Hollywood star is one of 25 photos being sold.

The 51-year-old shared the news on her Instagram page along with a video of Seliger at work.

She wrote: "My dear friend @markseliger teamed up with @radvocacy and @christiesinc to auction 25 of his portraits – including mine - for COVID-19 relief.

"100% of sales proceeds of this portrait will go to @NAFClinics, an organisation which provides free coronavirus testing and care nationwide to the medically underserved. Link in my bio to learn more about the auction.

“Thank you again to Mark for allowing me to be part of this,” she said.

Seliger also shared the news on Instagram adding that further proceeds will help provide coronavirus relief for food banks and women’s shelters, as well as delivering vital PPE equipment to veterans and the elderly.

The bidding for the pictures opens on June 12 .
