Inter Milan Women have announced the signing of Brazilian international Kathellen Sousa.

The 24-year-old defender has joined from French team Girondins de Bordeaux where she made 27 appearances over two seasons. 

She has previously played college football in the US at Monroe College, University of Louisville and University of Central Florida.

In 2018 she made her debut for her national side and competed in the 2019 World Cup in France and has since earned seven caps. 

During Inter’s most recent campaign, the side finished seventh after the season was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Serie A’s 2020 season gets underway on August 22.
