Kanye West apologises to wife Kim Kardashian for discussing private issues publicly

US rapper Kanye West has publicly apologised to his wife Kim Kardashian for publicly discussing their private life.

While he does not specify what he is referring to in his apology, he has recently tweeted that he wanted to divorce the reality TV star and that she and her family were trying to lock him up.

He took to social media to thank his wife for always being there for him. He wrote: "I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter.

“I did not cover her like  she has covered me. To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Kardashian has responded to West’s recent behaviour by asking people to be mindful of mental health as she said her husband was ‘brilliant but complicated’ due to his bipolar disorder.

West’s apology came after singer Justin Bieber visited the star at his ranch this weekend. The musician tweeted about the meeting and shared a photo of the pair sitting next to each other.

He wrote: “DD & JB discussing the new spray foam wall prototypes on the YZY campus”

Friday had been the release date for West’s latest album but it is yet to appear on streaming sites.

And while news of his music work has died down, he has continued his run for presidency.

He claimed he will be able to beat Democrat nominee Joe Biden on write ins.

He tweeted: "I will beat Biden off of write ins #2020VISION"

As an independent candidate, some voters will have to write his name on the ballot paper to be able to vote for him as he missed the deadline to be included formally on the papers in most states.

West announced he would be running for office on July 4.
