Kanye West set to host first presidential campaign rally in South Carolina today

Kanye West will begin his presidential campaign with a rally in South Carolina later today.

The event, which according to ABC News will take place at 5pm at the Exquis Event Center in North Charleston, is for ‘registered guests only’.

In order to gain access to the rally, you have to sign up to West’s new campaign site.

All attendees will have to sign a COVID-19 liability release form, socially distance and wear a mask.

It comes just one day after Kanye called on fans to sign up for him to be put on the ballot in South Carolina.

He said: "Hi guys please sign up to put me on the ballot in South Carolina at any of these locations. You can also sign up at the website."

However, it appears West may have already missed out as the deadline for independent candidates in South Carolina passed on July 15.

Earlier today West also announced on Twitter he was releasing a new album, but he then deleted the tweet.

It is expected that his album will be released on July 24.
