HELLO AND WELCOME

Hello and welcome to a night of boxing where history will be made.

For the first time ever on British soil a women's fight will top the bill at a major UK venue as we head to the 21,000-capacity Manchester Arena to see Ireland's Katie Taylor take on WBO super lightweight champion Christina Linardatou.

Terri Harper is also in action as she defends her IBO super featherweight title on her Matchroom debut.

Stay tuned for all the updates.

TERRI HARPER

I will be back with you shortly when Terri Harper enters the ring for her fight. It appears she will be on after heavyweight Martin Bakole.

My estimate would be she will ring walk within the hour.

Harper vs Obenauf

Here we go then! The bell rings. We're underway.

Round 3: Harper vs Obenauf

We're three rounds into this one and Harper has busted up her Brazilian opponent's nose badly.

It's good work from Harper who has produced all of the clean, crisp work so far.

Impressing on her Matchroom debut.

Round 5: Harper vs Obenauf

Harper looks completely unfazed by anything that is coming back from Obenauf, and the Briton's right-hand is keeping the Brazilian honest.

It's a confidence that comes with being an unbeaten fighter. On the other hand, Obenauf looks like someone who has been beaten five times before.

The away fighter bumps into Harper as she goes back to the corner at the end of the fourth. It doesn't affect the girl from Yorkshire one bit. She comes out and makes it five rounds from five.

One. Way. Traffic.

Round 7: Harper vs Obenauf

A good right hand from Obenauf in the sixth but not enough to take the round. The flouries are coming from Harper and I've already got the Brazilian needing a couple of knock downs to win this one.

Harper's left hook is also worth a mention. That could hurt any featherweight or lightweight in the game - Katie Taylor included.

Another huge left from the Denaby-born fighter and a clash of heads leaves swelling on the cheek of Obenauf.. That's really nasty.

She could be pulled out here.

Round 9: Harper vs Obenauf

She's still in there, the 33-year-old. Kudos to her, this has been a brutal dismantling and Harper must be thinking what does she have to do to force the stoppage?

Big hooks still swinging in from the undefeated northerner as she looks for that killer blow. Obenauf still throwing bombs herself, incredibly she's still trying to win this.

Harper has one round to go. This has been a shutout.

Round 10: Harper vs Obenauf

A touch of gloves from the two fighters, both must have a tremendous amount of respect for each other after 18 minutes of gruelling action.

Into the last 120 seconds and it's Harper again on the front foot. Obenauf is coming back with fire as she has all evening but it's the 23-year-old who looks fresher, busier and more accurate.

She takes the final round to cap off what you would expect is a 100-90 victory on the cards.

We await the scores but this is only going one way.

HARPER WINS

Terri Harper takes it on the cards. The official decision is 99-91 99-92 97-93 all in favour of the Briton.

Perhaps a little closer than we had it hear, but no doubt about the victor.

Harper takes it and with it defends her IBO world title on her 23rd birthday. A lovely little present, that.

Katie Taylor, are you watching?!

KATIE TAYLOR

Speaking of the Irish superstar, she will be up a little later on.

Stick around for all the live updates as Taylor bids to become a two-weight world champion.
