England and Leeds Rhinos player Danika Priim has said she wants to continue to grow the women’s game in England.

Priim, who won the Challenge Cup and the Women’s Super League with Rhinos last season, said one motivation to improve the women’s game in the country is to compete with Australia.

She told the Golden Point podcast: "I'm at a stage now where I don't say 'no' to anything, and I will speak to anybody about Women's Super League and women's sport - and the community game as well.

"We've got three leagues in the women's game and if you get a chance to talk about it, you have to do it and try to convince people.

"But we've just got to keep pushing and promoting this game, and we will start to grow and compete against the likes of Australia - and finally beat them."

The last time England played Australia was in the inaugural World Cup Nines in October last year where the Jillaroos demolished England 42-4.

And Australia won the Rugby League World Cup in 2013 and 2017.

England’s WSL is hoping to begin its season this summer after it was delayed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
