HALF-TIME: United go into the break with a 1-0 lead thanks to Leah Galton’s strike which really should have been stopped by Reading keeper Grace Moloney. The home side have more than held their own, but the quality in the final third has proven the difference so far.

47 min: CHANCE! Great start to the second half from the hosts as James floats a ball into the box from the near touchline and it drops for Harding but she snatches at the chance and it’s flicked behind by Mary Earps.

50 min: You wonder if United will sit off Reading a little more in this second half and see if they can pick them off on the counter. Wouldn’t be the worst tactic in the world.

As I say that, the Red Devils come charging forward but the move breaks down.

52 min: Galton still down here. She was caught after the ball had gone by Leine, who is already on a yellow card. The Reading defender is very lucky the ref hasn’t seen that. With VAR I think the home side would be down to ten players.

54 min: Galton is back to her feet, thankfully for Manchester United.

Heath whips in yet another corner for the league leaders but it’s dealt with again by the Reading defence.
