Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal

14 min: Vivianne Miedema has just scored for Arsenal’s women and Harry Kane has netted for Tottenham’s men. What else is new?

Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal

16 min: Bronze plays a nice one-two-three-four with Kelly as the pair enjoy themselves down the right once again. Eventually Arsenal snuff them out, but that is undoubtedly the area they are going to be dangerous from.

Mewis clips a diagonal towards Weir who controls it perfectly on her chest before rifling well over.

Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal

19 min: Arsenal are more than happy to let Manchester City have the ball and play on the break. Why wouldn’t you with the pace and finishing of Vivianne Miedema up front?

Could be tough for City to break through this Arsenal defensive block.

21 min: The pace has well and truly gone out of this one now. It’s as if Manchester City can’t quite work out what to do and are a bit shocked by Arsenal’s mentality to sit off them.

It’s on the hosts to make a game of this now.

24 min: Feel like that opening five minutes was a dream. Barely anything has happened since. City with the possession but they’re not doing anything with it.

Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal

26 min: First time we’ve seen Lauren Hemp on the ball. She jinks brilliantly past two Arsenal defenders but then runs into traffic. It breaks for her again and she lashes a shot well over. Better.

28 min: Mead tries to work space on the right-hand side but Demi Stokes ushers her out of play for a goal kick.

29 min: CHANCE! City are probing as Kelly hooks a ball over to the other side of the penalty area to Hemp. She fizzes a cross in and it’s spooned behind by an Arsenal shirt. That could have one anywhere.

Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

30 min: GOAL! City level from the resulting corner!

It’s crossed into the box and Sam Mewis doesn’t even need to jump to get her head to it. It’s planted down into the ground and back up above the Miedema on the line and in.

They’ve deserved it on the balance of play.

Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

32 min: Two real chances, two goals. That’s what you get when you’ve got an abundance of attacking talent on show.
