53 min: Henderson with a cross-field ball and as it’s headed back across goal Calvert-Lewin goes down but that one is not a penalty.

51 min: The tempo of the game is being dictated by Belgium again now. England have dropped into their defensive block and we are in danger of seeing the same poor performance here. Southgate needs to change something and fast.

49 min: Rashford sprints clear and then holds it up for Calvert-Lewin. The Everton striker has an effort from 25 yards but it’s miles over the top. Not better.

47 min: No changes at half-time by the way. Pretty baffling. Maybe Southgate is giving this team one last go for ten minutes or so to see if they can up their performance.

I’m sure Gareth Soutgate will make changes at half-time, especially with the five substitutions rule. Grealish? Kane? Ings?

HALF-TIME: That’s all she wrote for the first half. Belgium have been dominant but it’s two penalties which have been the talking points. One from Rashford. One from Lukaku. All square.

45 min: England will be pleased after this 45 minutes that they are level because they have created absolutely nothing aside from the penalty.
