7 min: Birmingham force the first corner of the match as the ball spins away off an Everton shin.

It comes into the six-yard box but is dealt with impressively from Moe Wald as she heads firmly clear.

9 min: Walker is found by Mayling inside the full-back and she darts through to try and get a shot off but is thwarted by a challenge from Sevecke.

11 min: Sorensen nips in between two Birmingham defenders and whips a ball into the box which is clipped away for a corner - the first of the game for the Toffees.

Christiansen sends it in and Sevecke turns it goalward. Shouts of handball as it’s blocked away for another corner but nothing given.

It comes in again and Turner’s in-swinger is headed away for a third corner.

This one comes to nothing. Some early Everton pressure here.

14 min: Christiansen looks for Graham over the top but gets just too much on it and it rolls through for Hampton.

The former Chelsea playmaker looks the most dangerous player on the pitch by far right now. A joy to watch.

17 min: CHANCE! Christiansen charges through the middle and slides a timely pass for Sorensen. The Dane can’t get her cross in but forces yet another corner for Willie Kirk’s side.

In it comes and Sevecke crashes a flicked effort against the crossbar! She wasn’t even facing the goal but she was just inches away from the opener there!

19 min: Sorensen causing havoc once more on that right hand side as she forces another cross into the box.

Hampton is able to deal with this one as she claims the ball well. Pressure growing on Birmingham’s defence.

20 min: A rare attack for Birmingham as Walker strikes an ambitious effort towards goal from 25 yards out. MacIver comfortably deals with the ball which bounces straight down her throat.

A moment’s rest for the Birmingham backline before Everton come forward once more.

23 min: Ten players behind the ball for Birmingham and that’s becoming the pattern of the game here as Everton continue to probe for an opening goal.

Boye-Hlorkah then commits a needless foul as the women in yellow have to pause their sustained pressure.

25 min: That trio of Graham, Sorensen and Christiansen just look a class above everyone else on the pitch right now.

Graham backheels a lovely pass into Sorensen who helps it onto Christiansen but she can’t work a chance for Everton.

You feel this is a matter of time before the Toffees unlock the door here.

27 min: A looping cross comes in from Christiansen but Magill gets here bearings all wrong and hooks the ball well wide of Hampton’s goal.
