Nick Kyrgios slams Alexander Zverev for partying after promising he would self-isolate following Adria Tour

Tennis star Nick Kyrgios has slammed Alexander Zverev after he breached social distancing rules to party in France following his part in the controversial Adria Tour.

Zverev was part of Novak Djokovic’s controversial tennis event earlier this month in Belgrade and Croatia.

But instead of uplifting spirits the event saw Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Viktor Troicki and Borna Coric all test positive for coronavirus.

Zverev, the world No 7 had tested negative but promised on social media that he would ‘follow the self-isolating guidelines’.

But six days after his tweet, the 23 year-old German has come under fire after he was seen partying at a club in Monte Carlo.

Australian Kyrgios has since labelled Zverev as ‘selfish’ after not sticking to his word.

He said: “So I wake up and I see more controversial things happening all over the world but one just stuck out for me.

“Seeing Sascha Zverev again, again, how selfish can you be?

“If you have the audacity to f*****g put out a tweet, that you made your management write on your behalf, saying you're going to self-isolate for 14 days and apologising to the f*****g general public about putting their health at risk, at least have the audacity to stay inside for 14 days.

“Jesus, man. P*****g me off, this tennis world is p*****g me off, seriously. How selfish can you all get?”

Zverev has not commented since the video went viral.
