Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has confirmed she has a son weeks after rumours began to swirl she had given birth.

Fans have been speaking about the possibility of Azalea, 30, having a child with her partner and fellow rapper Playboi Carti, 23, since April.

She confirmed the news on an Instagram story: "I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realise I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.

“I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond words.”

Azalea, real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly, did not announce she was pregnant but Hollywood Unlocked reported back in December that sources had said she was ’six months along’.

She and Carti, real name Jordan Carter, began dating in 2018 and live together in Atlanta.

The couple are yet to confirm if they are engaged after rumours were sparked when Azalea wore a ring on her wedding ring finger recently.
