Reading grab a last-minute equaliser as it ends 2-2 at Brighton in the Women's Super League

Reading salvaged a 2-2 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion in the Women's Super League, after Remi Allen grabbed a last-minute leveller.

The Royals' captain and former Lioness Fara Williams opened the scoring straight from a corner at the People's Pension Stadium.

But Brighton rallied and drew level soon afterwards via a pinpoint header from midfielder Aileen Whelan.

The hosts continued to press and Ini-Abasi Umotong put them ahead following a quick break.

Reading had more shots on target throughout the game and kept their composure, finally being rewarded as the clock ran down. A goalmouth scramble saw Remi Allen fired the ball into the back of the net for a share of the spoils.

Reading currently sit three spots above Brighton with 11 points in the WSL table.
