Women’s Super League club Reading’s captain Natasha Harding has re-signed for the side.

The Welsh international originally signed for the Royals back in 2018 from Liverpool.

Reading manager Kelly Chambers said: “Tash was an important player for me to keep, not just because she is my captain but for what she brings to the group both on and off the pitch.”

Reading have also re-signed two other players. Academy captain Kiera Skeels has signed her first professional contract and Lily Woodham has extended her stay at the club.

Skeels, 16, made her first team debut back in October against Championship side Lewes.

Chambers added: "I am delighted that I am able to offer Kiera her first professional contract with us. This is what having a youth set up is about, moments like this.

"Kiera has definitely earned her contract. She trained with the first team all of last season and I've seen her come on leaps and bounds and grow in confidence. She is undoubtedly a player who has a bright future in the game and I can't wait to see what more there is to come."

And Welsh defender Woodham re-signs after spending last season on loan at Championship club Charlton Athletic.

Chambers said of Woodham: "I'm so glad that Lily decided to stay at the club. Lily is an exciting young prospect who has all the attributes to play in this league.”

All of this comes after the side signed top talent from other WSL clubs this week.

They announced today the signing of Chelsea defender Deanna Cooper and earlier this week came the news Arsenal stars Emma Mitchell and Danielle Carter had joined the club.
