Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan and Chicago White Sox baseball star Michael Kopech are getting a divorce.

The news comes just three days after Morgan, 28, announced she was expecting a baby boy which is due in January next year.

TMZ  reported that court documents showed Kopech, 24, filed for a divorce on June 19 after just five months of marriage. 

The pair started dating in 2018 and got engaged a year later.

Morgan revealed she was pregnant at a gender reveal party over the weekend but Kopech wasn’t in any of the pictures. 

She said: "Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly & I wanted you guys to hear it from me.

“I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news. I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January.”
