RuPaul’s Drag Race Canada set to air on BBC Three this summer

Canada’s Drag Race will be coming to UK screens this summer on BBC Three.

The spin-off series from RuPaul’s Drag Race will feature 12 Canadian drag queens competing to be Canada’s Next Drag Superstar.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 11 finalist Brooke Lynn Hytes will be joining the judges panel to replace RuPaul.

Also on the panel will be LGBTQ activist Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and supermodel and TV personality Stacey McKenzie.

A new celebrity guest will join each week including RuPaul's Drag Race icon Michelle Visage.

New episodes of the ten-part series will air every Friday on BBC iPlayer from July 3.

RuPaul said: “Canada’s Drag Race airing on BBC is further proof that self-expression, creativity and the tenacity of the human spirit resonates around the globe.”

BBC Three controller Fiona Campbell added: “We’re very excited that BBC Three will be the only place in the UK to watch the first ever Canada’s Drag Race and to be working with World of Wonder again.

"With a brilliant combination of contestants, judges and challenges, it has all the ingredients of a spectacularly fun series - get ready to fall in love with these Canadian Queens!”
