Slaves guitarist Laurie Vincent talks of ‘love of his life’ Emma after she loses cancer battle at the age of 32

Slaves guitarist Laurie Vincent has spoken after his girlfriend and mother of his two children died from cancer at the age of just 32.

He and Emma Jane Mulholland have three year-old son Bart and one year-old daughter Summer together.

Vincent paid tribute to her on social media, saying: "My Dolly Legs, you showed me what love means. I will love you forever. Sleep tight my queen, we will meet again.

“(Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support, i ask for you to be sensitive and respect our families privacy at this time. I will tell Emma's story but now is not the time.) X”

Earlier this month, the couple’s daughter Summer had her first birthday and Emma wrote an emotional message on Instagram to commemorate the day.

She said: "Happy 1st Birthday to our beautiful baby girl Summer Jane! So bittersweet that this is our first and last birthday spent together.

“In the hardest year of our lives you will never understand the joy you have brought to get us through each day I love you with all my heart and always will, mummy.”

Last December, Slaves postponed their tour as Emma was in pain due to the treatment she was receiving.

In a statement at the time, Vincent said: "Emma has been battling through immensely painful episodes every day for the past 3 months.

"We hoped this wasn't a permanent issue and that her symptoms would subside, I thought we would be able to cope and I could get through this tour.

"However, this week her condition has rapidly deteriorated. At this point, Emma is in constant agony."

Vincent, alongside bandmate Isaac Holman, formed punk band Slaves in 2012 and the pair have produced three albums.
