Soccer legend Carli Lloyd tells of 'disappointment' over Olympics

US soccer legend Carli Lloyd has said she is 'disappointed' the Olympics were postponed, but 'we all need to do our part' during this challenging time.

Lloyd, 37, has won two Olympic gold medals with the US team already and says age is just a number.

“I have proven that at 37 I am still one of the fittest players on the team, so I just need to keep building to get better each and every day.

“It is definitely disappointing to not be able to compete this summer, but I like to try to find the silver lining in every situation.

"We can't change what has happened with this unprecedented pandemic — it is a sad time, what is happening around the world, and we all need to adapt and do our part,” she told Allure.
