The iconic arch at the Wembley Stadium will light up blue every night in appreciation for the hard work being done by all those working for the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

Standing at a height of 133 metres and span of 315 metres, the landmark feature can be seen across much of north London.

The idea follows appreciation demonstrations in locked-down cities in both Spain and France where residents hold nightly rounds of applause to show their appreciation to health workers.
