What time does Tottenham v Man Utd kick-off? Channel, live stream, team news and previous meetings

Tottenham host Manchester United tonight as both teams return to the pitch for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic.

The home side currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, seven points off a Champions League place with nine games remaining.

Jose Mourinho, who will be facing his former club for the first time since being sacked in 2018, watched his side go on a winless run of six games before football was suspended, a run Spurs fans will be hoping ends tonight.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are just two points behind fourth place Chelsea as they look to climb into a Champions League spot this evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are on an 11-game unbeaten streak stretching back to January 22.

The Red Devils’ final league match also saw them defeat champions and rivals Manchester City 2-0, so any sort of positive feeling they can carry over from then could prove vital.

Team News

Mourinho has confirmed that star forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will start for Tottenham on Friday night as they make their long-awaited returns from injury.

However, Kane’s England teammate Dele Alli will play no part after he was banned for one match for posting a video on social media mocking an Asian man in relation to coronavirus.

For the visitors, Paul Pogba could start for Solskjaer’s side in what would be his first Premier League start in 2020.

Rashford will also be available following his recovery from a stress fracture in his back.

Manchester United beat Tottenham in the reverse fixture earlier this season as they prevailed 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford’s brace cancelled out Dele Alli’s expertly taken goal to give Solskjaer’s men all three points and lift them above the Lilywhites.

United also defeated Tottenham away from home last season as Rashford scored yet again to secure the victory for his side.
