Woman turns to Facebook in bid to return items stolen by her ‘thieving’ cat

A woman has made a plea on Facebook for help in returning items stolen by her ‘thieving’ cat Pixel.

Kate Baker, 35, from Andover, Hampshire, said she had seen a surge in the amount of gloves being brought home, which had led her to attempt to return the items.

“My cat’s thieving has got so bad my brother bought her a box,” she said.

“I would like to return items … sorry in advance.”

Pixel, aged two, developed the habit of bringing items home last year, stealing children’s toys if the opportunity struck.

“She will always bring us something every night, pine cones, huge carpets of moss, large feathers, blocks of wood, but when sheds are open and kids have toys out, she will go for more exciting things,” Mrs Baker said.

“We always know when Pixel has brought us something she’s particularly proud of, as she has a unique wail of delight and will always leave her gifts on our landing.”

Mrs Baker explained that many of the items had been returned, but that Pixel was still on the hunt for more exciting finds.

“I’ve returned the bits I know where they came from, but some are unclaimed,” she said.

“People have found it really funny and a welcome bit of a light-hearted fun.”
