Everton 1-1 Manchester City

97 min: Mewis’ engine is unbelievable. She powers through a number of challenges again but can’t quite find Kelly in the middle. That final pass is eluding the holders, but it does look like a matter of time before they find the winner.

Everton really under siege.

96 min: Mewis finds some space on the edge of the area again but her left-footed effort is tame and MacIver gathers easily.

95 min: Magill is nearly in behind the City defence but Roebuck is out so fast to sweep up. This is like a basketball game now. A basketball game where every player is on there absolute limit.

93 min: Great ball in from the corner from Greenwood but it’s dealt with by Everton. Greenwood then zips another fine delivery all the way through the box for Houghton at the back post but MacIver just gets there before the Manchester City skipper.

I really could not tell you which way this game is going. It’s anyones. Manchester City looked like they were nailed on to find the winner in the final ten minutes but couldn’t find it.

Will that play on their minds mentally now heading into extra time? Can Everton find a second wind?

FULL-TIME: Extra time it is! Valerie Gauvin cancels out Sam Mewis’ opener for Manchester City as Everton take the holders to another 30 minutes of action.

A brilliant game.

90+6min: The corner comes in…Egurrola heads wide. That should be that. It looks like we’re heading for extra time…

Everton 1-1 Manchester City

90+5min: There’s another chance to win it! Unbelievable.

Weir and Mewis play a lovely one-two on the edge of the box and then Weir’s curling effort clips the top of the bar and goes over. So, so, so close.

Everton then break and win a corner. This is absolutely pulsating stuff.
