Women’s FA Cup Final: Everton 1-3 Manchester City - Holders defend FA Cup in thrilling game

Six months after the original date for the final, Willie Kirk’s Toffees will be looking to dethrone Gareth Taylor’s defending champions in what would be their first FA Cup triumph in a decade.

Meanwhile, City are bidding to lift the trophy for a third time in four years and would move level with Charlton as the fourth most successful team in the competition’s history with a win.

90+3min: BIG CHANCE! Stokes does brilliant to slide the ball back for Caroline Weir who is unmarked ten yards out but again the shot is over the top! That was the chance to win the FA Cup Final and it goes begging for City.

87 min: Another good corner comes in and it bounces off a towering head. It loops into the air but Roebuck claims on her line. She’s been good today. Very assured in all aspects of her game, aside from failing to punch the corner which lead to the goal.

85 min: Sorensen loops a really dangerous ball into the box and Roebuck has to tip it over to avoid it looping over her and into the net.

That could have been a comical winning goal.

82 min: The absence of crowd here now is adding to the tension. Both teams really do not want to concede now and there’s a lot of tough challenges and breaks in play.

Park goes in for a challenge with Egurrola and both women feel the crunch of that one.
