Harry Kewell set to name unchanged Oldham side against Leyton Orient

11 September 2020

Oldham boss Harry Kewell could name an unchanged team against Leyton Orient for the opening match of the Sky Bet League Two season.

Oldham began the 2020-21 campaign last weekend with a 3-0 win against Carlisle in the Carabao Cup and Kewell must have been pleased with what he saw.

Should he wish to make changes, Kewell could call on fellow Australian George Blackwood following the attacker’s arrival from Adelaide United this week. Although it remains to be seen how fit the new signing will be.

Another summer signing defender Kyle Jameson will also hope to make his debut for Latics after he was an unused substitute last weekend.

Orient boss Ross Embleton is likely to make a glut of changes to his starting line-up.

Embleton swapped nine players for the EFL Trophy win against Brighton Under-21s in midweek.

He is likely to revert back to a team which closely resembles the one which won at Forest Green in the Carabao Cup last weekend.

That should see the likes of Lawrence Vigouroux, James Brophy, Josh Coulson, Jobi McAnuff, Ousseynou Cisse and Lee Angol recalled.
