Morecambe full-back Luke Conlan has moved to National League outfit Fylde for an undisclosed fee.

Conlan made 142 appearances during his four years with the Shrimps but has moved on in search of regular first-team football after Steven Hendrie’s arrival from Kilmarnock.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Morecambe,” the 25-year-old told the club’s official website.

“Obviously it was a difficult decision for me to leave but at the end of the day I want to be playing games at this stage of my career and I’m not sure that would have been the case if I’d have stayed.”
