Luke Hendrie and Bilel Mohsni back training for Grimsby

18 September 2020

Luke Hendrie and summer signing Bilel Mohsni are back training ahead of Grimsby’s match against Salford.

The pair were among the absentees for the League Two opener at Walsall with a groin issue and trapped nerve respectively.

Grimsby boss Ian Holloway remains without James Hanson due to a calf injury but the striker is edging closer to a return.

Max Wright remains sidelined with a thigh injury sustained in the Carabao Cup match against Morecambe.

Salford have no fresh concerns on the back of their Carabao Cup exit at Everton.

The Ammies lost 3-0 at Goodison Park on Wednesday and manager Graham Alexander was disappointed the scoreline was not closer given his team’s display.

Jordan Turnbull, Richie Towell, James Wilson and Brandon Thomas-Asante came into the starting line-up at Everton and will be looking to have earned a league start at Blundell Park.

Salford boss Alexander has been impressed with the shape his squad have returned to training in after the coronavirus break.
