All three National League football divisions suspended indefinitely due to coronavirus

All three divisions of the English National League have been suspended indefinitely following a board meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

The National League, National League North and National League South were initially intended to resume on April 3 but this has now been extended.

It comes after Thursday's ruling that all non-league football from tiers three to seven would be immediately halted with no promotion or relegation.

The National League have said they looking at 'how best to conclude' the season but it is not yet known whether all results so far will be expunged.

A statement said: "The National League is currently obtaining specialist legal advice, is consulting regularly with the Football Association and other stakeholders, and is committed to involving its member clubs in a pending decision on how best to conclude the 2019-20 season."
