This is simply a must-win game for Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side if they want to avoid relegation.

With two games remaining, they sit three points off safety so it is vital they close the gap tonight.

By the time kick-off comes around Villa will know how Watford have faired against Manchester City and could well need a win to stay in the division.

Regardless, it will be tough for the relegation-threatened hosts as they come up against an Arsenal side buoyed by their FA Cup semi-final victory over Man City at the weekend.

Arsenal will jump from tenth to eighth with a victory and move just two points behind north London rivals Tottenham heading into the final day.

Aston Villa could welcome back on-loan midfielder Danny Drinkwater for the first time since the league’s suspension as he returns from injury.

Defender Kortney Hause could also feature, but Neil Taylor will not be available for selection.

Arsenal centre-back Shkodran Mustafi has a hamstring injury and will not play.

But Arteta can pick Eddie Nketiah again after he served his suspension, with Cedric Soares also available after missing out the FA Cup semi-final due to being cup-tied.
