Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn says world heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Kubrat Pulev could be rescheduled

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed Anthony Joshua's world heavyweight title fight against Kubrat Pulev could be moved to July.

The fight, which was set to set place on June 20 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, could be rescheduled to later on in the summer due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 30 year-old Brit will be defending his WBA, WBO and IBF belts against mandatory challenger Pulev from Bulgaria, who has only lost to Wladimir Klitschko.

Speaking about the fight, Hearn told Sky Sports: "We do have a potential date in July but, right now, we are hoping June 20 can remain the date.

"We know we have the same strategy moving forward. Obviously, the Premier League decision will play a big part in a number of sports."

If the fight goes ahead it will be the first time Joshua has fought on home soil since he beat Alexander Povetkin in September 2018 at Wembley Stadium.
