Darts is back as PDC launches new 32-night tournament with top players competing from home

Darts fans are in for some long-overdue action with the launch of a new 32-night tournament where players will compete from the comfort of their homes.

And all players with a tour card will have the opportunity to compete in the tournament which starts on Friday.

World champion and proud Scot Peter Wright will take on Yorkshireman Peter Jacques in the opening game of the tournament.

Four players will be in action each evening and will play in a league format before a series of knockout rounds, starting from Friday.

And each match is set to be broadcast via live video calls on the PDC's own subscription TV channel and social media channels.

PDC chairman Barry Hearn said: "This will provide a regular supply of live sport.

"The event will also give players a chance to play competitive darts in this down period in preparation for the return to normal action, whenever that may be."
